Is there a warranty on wholesale flag banners?

A flag banner wholesaler includes mounting systems such as pole banner hardware, hanging hardware, pole banner hardware and poles that display feather, teardrop, and flag banners. This allows the company to sell to a protected market or sell wholesale to any client (usually businesses) that they choose to sell to.

What is a flag banner wholesaler exactly?

In the US, a wholesaler is a company that specializes in a specific product or category, such as banners, outdoor flags, or the like. They would then sell to resellers in particular markets, e.g. California, New York and Georgia are all “protected territory”. In other words, if XYZ Banner Manufacturing had given you a contract to sell banners in Georgia, you can’t sell to Californians or any other territory.

Other companies, like the fictitious ABC Banner Company might sell wholesale if they could prove to them that a resellers permit was or license. This could include a website that sells nationally or worldwide. This client would not be subject to any territorial restrictions. Many of the products sold in the US today, particularly if they come from overseas, would fall under this category of wholesale seller.

The last category is companies that sell “wholesale” to businesses. This has been very common over the past two decades. These companies have created this type of “wholesaling” to meet ever increasing prices in their markets. They often source from overseas to increase their profit margins, or simply to be opportunistic and forward-thinking resellers.

Wholesalers must sell below the consumer price level. However, as you can see there are many variations to that business model and it is up the individual businesses to decide how they will implement this type of market.

What is a warranty?

Wholesale Flag Banners do not usually come with a warranty. It is a promise to replace the banner if it fails.

What is the cause of the absence of warranty on these items

The seller is not able to control how the banner is displayed. If the banner is indoors, they will not need a warranty.

If the banners are displayed/installed out-of-doors, all bets are off due to the sun, wind, and other inclement weather conditions that the manufacturer/wholesaler has no control over.

As a client, your best bet is to ensure that the manufacturer of wholesale banners and flags uses the highest quality polyester materials and nylon webbing reinforcing the hems/seams to resist inclement weather conditions. However, sunlight cannot be stopped as it is the main cause of banner deterioration and banner longevity.

Wholesaler License

How do you get a wholesaler license It depends.

Our company, for example, distributes for manufacturers that do not issue wholesale agreements for protected territories. Therefore, there is no need for licensing.

A company may issue “licensing” for protected territories. This is not a government stamp of authorization saying that your company is licensed wholesaler. However, as a company policy, you would be approved to be a wholesale vendor for the company’s products or services.

Flag Banner Printing – Printing Method(s)

Some of our clients (or at least those who are curious) have asked about the printing process for flags and banners.

Unlike DTF (direct-to-fabric) printing, our printers use the “dye sublimation” printing method, which uses a CMYO dye set (that stands for Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Clear) rather that the traditional CMYK (that stands for the same thing except the K is black whereas the O is clear, but they ultimately both end up black).

Direct printing allows you to print your banner flag with tiny ink dots that vary in color saturation. The process of using ink is simple and can be done on both vinyl banners and fabric banners.

However, dye sublimation printing is different.

Dye sublimation works as follows: Using the CMYO set, the digital printer is used to print a paper transfer with the desired image. The paper is then matched to the appropriate-sized polyester fabric. This can be any of a variety of weights and finishes, including knits, poly silks, light box fabrics, or outdoor canvas. Finally, it is fed through heated rollers at 400F at 400 lbs. Pressure.

When the fabric and paper are placed in heated and pressurized rollers due to heat, the dye on paper is converted to a liquid dye. Cells in the poly-fabric simultaneously open like flowers in the sun and the dye infuses each cell with color. As the fabric cools, the color infuses the cells with dye.

This process is more similar to film developing than digital print, as heat and pressure create a continuous tone that looks like a photo rather than dots that simulate continuous tones which is what digital printing uses. The dye has also become an integral part of the fabric and does not sit on top like ink. However, the appropriate inks can adhere to fabrics well but in a different way and with a slightly lower quality printing.

Do wholesalers ship samples?

I can’t speak on behalf of other flag banner wholesalers but I would guess most will. We do.

It would be difficult for you to visualize the different materials available if they are unfamiliar to you, so we would be remiss not to send samples to you if requested.

We send our most popular materials to our clients, twelve in total. There are slight variations in the weight and finish of the fabrics, but most clients find what they need from the dozen sample we send them.
